Payment and Funding Our hourly rate at Sunflowers is currently £8 per hour. We invoice termly and can accept monthly payments to cover the costs of the childcare used. This covers the cost of the childcare that your child will receive from the Sunflower Team, the snack food and drink that is available to every child every morning, and the resources and creation activity that we use at Sunflowers.
There are currently no further costs to you if you use the funded hours only, though we do have a wish list of things to help us to create with your child over the weeks they are with us, and we would appreciate your help with this please!
We accept funding for 2 year olds, and 3&4 year funding and the 30 hour funding, which we use to cover the 38 weeks a year we are open for. The funding forms need to be completed during the first part of each term and signed by you; you are unable to change your sessions once the funding forms are completed.
You are able to share the funding with two separate settings, which you need to make both settings aware of and to complete the funding form each term stating where the hours will be used at which setting.
The Government allows the funding to be used for all families to be able to access childcare and we allow this funding to be used to fund 15 or 30 hours a week if you are entitled to it. If you used more hours than those covered by the funding you will be charged at £8 per hour. If you are entitled to 30 hours funding, YOU are responsible to reapply every term, before the end of August for the Autumn Term, before the end of December for the Spring Term and before the end of March for Summer Term. You are eligible to pay for the child care costs if you have not applied on time. *Should you wish to leave Sunflowers you need to give 6 weeks notice.
