Owning a Childcare Setting was always a plan of Lisa’s, Sunflowers happened as Lisa returned to Cirencester with her husband and 2 young sons in 2007 and St Peters Nursery was looking for new ownership! With the wealth of child development knowledge and life experience Lisa opened Sunflowers at St Peters in September 2008 with the support of her family and the newly appointed Sunflower Team.
In the beginning there were just 10 families on the books, most years we accumulate 30 families per year, meaning over 450 families have been through Sunflowers over the past 15 years. Something which we are very proud of as many of these families will stop and say hello to all members of the Team in and around Cirencester.
Over the years we have realised that we are not just here for the support and development of the children within our care, but to provide the parents with a safe and supportive environment for everyone to grow and develop. We have created a Sunflower Community, where we are all here to help and support each other through the good and bad times, which Covid definitely challenged us but only made our commitment stronger to each other.
We have changed with the times and expectations of our families and continue to develop to the needs of those who support us.
